What makes a hero?
Heros are people who sacrifice themselves for the sake of others: A man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualitities; True heroes need not necessarily be famous; They will do anything they deem as right for the good of others.
General Templar.
Field Marshal Sir Gerald Walter Robert Templar, is a perfect example of a true blue hero. He holds high positions in British Army during the Worlding War 2, being the youngest general there. He was recognized as a prominent leader that would sacrifice readily for the good of his nation. One of his famous quotes :" I'm looking forward to have a go, at what will be a tough job."
In war, he faces as much dangers as any trooper would have encountered, but in 1944, while he was commanding the 6th Armoured Division, he was severely injured by a. land mine, despited his injury, he did not falter and carried on fighting in the war.
His undying perserverence despite his injury eventually led him to "neutralise the jungle". His restlessness and optimism ultimately turned the tables around on the Malayan Rebels in the battle known as the Malayan Emergency.

Clear and detailed definition of heroes is given. It also shows how General Templar is a hero using the definitions. General Templar’s hero qualities are given too. Example of challenges faced by him is very interesting and clear. However, you did not manage to mention whether a hero achieves what he wants or arise from some special circumstances.

ReplyDeleteInformation provided is sufficient in showing the heroism of the selected person. But more elaboration is needed on how he overcame his challenges.
Generally well written and clear, but could be better if videos were added in.
